# About

RUNESTONE
\
Skol is eagerly anticipating the start of development on Runestone, a decentralized gaming platform designed to serve as a central hub connecting the Web2 and Web3 gaming ecosystems. Inspired by platforms like Steam, Runestone aims to enable users to purchase and play both web 2 and web3 games using integrated Skol tokens, Ethereum, or selected stablecoins.

Conceptualized as a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), Runestone intends to empower token holders with governance rights to help shape the platform’s direction, ensuring it serves both gamers and Skol holders effectively.

Potential features include a rewarding revenue-sharing model for Skol token holders, an Affiliate Program that encourages community members to bring leading game developers and studios to the platform, an Achievement System to track player progress, and tipping functionality that allows users to reward developers, reviewers, and contributors within the ecosystem.

While still in the early stages, Runestone represents Skol’s commitment to pioneering innovative solutions that enhance the decentralized gaming landscape.
